Twilight Mittens In Progress
My Twilight Mittens, inspired by Bella’s mittens in the movie are coming along right fine. It was a little hard to read the pattern, but I finally muddled through it.
These Twilight Mittens are indeed very warm, due to the cable design. They are really a dark grey, but I guess I had too much flash in my new camera.
Will continue to keep you posted on how these Twilight Mittens come and the final product. Will most likely make a few more pairs, as I have some tweens and twenties that would adore them.

Having recently relearned how to knit, I am always up for a challenge. It seems that the Twilight Mittens like Bella wears in the movie have created quite a stir. I had a pair of these when I was a kid in navy, that my mother knitted for me one Christmas. They were really warm, and yes, came almost up to my elbows. I wore them over my coat, when I went out to shovel snow for all the neighbors, which was my winter job back then.
These Twilight Mittens, which they are getting to be known as, look like simple horseshoe cables. I just learned how to make cables last week and these do not look that difficult.
As I sit by the fire and knit my Twilight Mittens, I will let you know how they look. Although it is not that cold in these parts, I will most likely use them as a gift. I do remember those Twilight Mittens from years gone by, however, and how toasty they were on snowy winter nights.
Stay tuned and come back, I’ll post a pic when I get them finished.

This little elf has been busy making all kinds of gifts for the kiddos, even the 30 year old ones! One of my favs has been the Tutus. They are so easy to make and even the no Sew Tutu Pattern is a winner for everyone!
Of course, since I am an accomplished designer and seamstress, mine are going to be ones to die for. I am doing a rendition of the No Sew Tutu Pattern, adding my embellishments as I go along, and sewing the final product so it lasts.
Check back often, as I load pics and tutorials on the No Sew Tutu Pattern here.
